Josh Dela Cruz has fond childhood memories of watching the original Blue’s Clues with his younger sister and cites the show as his catalyst to becoming an actor. A powerhouse triple threat, Dela Cruz recently appeared in Disney’s Broadway production of Aladdin as the understudy for Aladdin and as a member of the ensemble. Other notable theatre credits include David Byrne’s Here Lies Love, under the direction of Alex Timbers, at the prestigious Public Theatre and Merrily We Roll Along at New York City Center Encores! He has also appeared in CBS’ Bull and ABC’s Time After Time. Raised in New Jersey, Dela Cruz’s trajectory toward a performing arts career began in New Milford High School when his older sister encouraged him to get involved in extracurricular activities like musical theater. He later graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from their revered theater and dance program. Dela Cruz enjoys photography, exploring the outdoors and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
