We went to Drammen’s most popular tourist attraction, SPIRALEN or The Spiral (in english)

Spiralen had undergone some upgrades. Work started at the end of 2019 and the spiral tunnel road was officially reopened in January 2021.

It’s not allowed to walk inside the tunnel for safety reasons. There is a road toll fee which is paid as a parking fee. Nobody will collect payment from the driver. You have to pay for it yourself when you exit the spiral tunnel on top of the mountain at the parking area. There is a parking payment machine there. Just look for it.

You’ll also find a quaint cafe/restaurant there in case you get thirsty or hungry. Very nice!
