I’m Kevin. I worked for the Department of Child Services for over 6 years. I was a family case manager that conducted CPS investigations. About two weeks ago, I published a story about how I had a falling out with my Regional Director after I complained about workplace harassment and how this resulted in a hostile work environment that led to (among other things) obstruction of child abuse investigations.

I published my story on June 22nd and on July 2nd my employment was terminated. I was officially terminated for unauthorized access to the Department’s database and files due to list I made of cases where advisement of rights were not provided or documented. Advisement of rights are given to parents when their children are removed by the Department under CHINS statutes. They outline the parent’s rights on the matter. I provided this information to the Department in December.

While the Department couldn’t fire me for my video, the excuse they found was equally tasteless and questionable. I was terminated for pointing out a fault!

Contact Governor Holcomb and tell him you expect executive level management at DCS to conduct themselves with the upmost integrity. If they don’t, then the supervisors under them will be squeezed from doing so. Tell the governor this is unacceptable!
