• 1.5 किलो आवळे
• 1.5 किलो साखर

Ingredients:
• 500 gm Awale / Goose berry
• 400 gm Sugar
• 4~5 Cardamom
• 4~5 Cloves
• Small Cinnamon stick
Method:
• Wash awala really good and dry them completely. Transfer them into a pot.
• Add water in a cooker and place a stand in it.
• Place the awla pot into the cooker and close the lid.
• Steam the awle on medium heat 15 -20 minutes.
• Take the awle out into a dish and let them cool down completely.
• Separate the petals and remove the seeds.
• Transfer the awle into a pan and add sugar.
• Turn the gas on and mix everything well together.
• Cook the mixture on low heat and stir it continuously.
• You can use jaggery in place of sugar. you can increase the quantity of sugar if you want.
• cook the mixture well until single thread thick sugar syrup is formed.
• When foam begins to float on the syrup, and if you drop syrup from a spoon, last drop falls like
thread, it means the syrup is ready.
• Turn the gas off and take few drops of syrup into adish.
• Let it cool down and check the consistency between your thumb and index finger.
• If nice single thread is formed, it means the syrup is ready.
• Let the morawala cool down completely and morawala is ready.
• Store it in a glass jar. It has shelf life of about 1-2 years.
