New book to be released Jul 11:
How Not To Get Sick
-first book written due to fact that Main Character was
missing: insulin resistance
As professor: goal is to be tenure
At my point of tenure I decided:
-besides getting grants and publishing
-did not want to simply publish
peer-reviewed papers that had
little impact on people's lives

I felt obligated to share my knowledge of metabolic health…
a-social media, including Insuliniq.com, as a way to
directly teach metabolic health ideas to people
b-realized no one had written a book about IR directly
In Why We Get Sick book
1-what is insulin resistance
2-where it comes from
3-why it matters [its diseases]
4-what to do about it

I am a teacher, professor, and love sharing ideas &
principles; and let learners work out how best to
-implement them for yourself
Some want more than this
-awkward position:
I am not a personal trainer nor
a nutritionist

However, after the success of Why We Get Sick, many
requests have come in for a plan of attack…
