As a young teenaged Head Banger I would never judge a book by it's cover... but I would an album or a record.... The Grateful Dead artwork looked very heavy metal to me and I bought my 1st Grateful Dead Cassette at the local record shop when I was 13. I popped the cassette in my player and the music sounded nothing like what I thought it would judging by the skeletal artwork. The Grateful Dead’s music grew on me and I have been into the Dead as much as I was into heavy metal. In a long deep search for Heavy Metal covers of the Grateful Dead, metal covers do not seem to exist... Until now. This Projetct was over 20 years in the making, studing and learning this song and giving a metal armour. So here is my Metalhead's Tribute to the Grateful Dead.
