After it was revealed that last year a record number of people in England and Wales died from drug use.

The rise was fuelled by a 30% increase in fatalities related to the use of cocaine.

Now in Glasgow they are awaiting the opening of a facility which will allow people to consume illegal drugs under the supervision of clinicians.

It's hoped that this so-called Safer Space will help reduce fatal overdoses by decriminalising drug use within the safe and clean facility.
