Congress ERUPTS: Trump BACKED INTO A CORNER as 120+ Lawmakers Demand RESIGNATION or IMPEACHMENT

A political firestorm is erupting on Capitol Hill—and Donald Trump is now surrounded by growing calls to resign or face impeachment.

In mid-December 2025, Rep. Al Green reignited the impeachment battle by introducing H.Res.939, accusing Trump of acting as a “de facto dictator” who ignores court orders, undermines due process, and threatens democratic norms. The new resolution builds on multiple impeachment efforts already filed in the 119th Congress, including H.Res.353 and H.Res.537, which accuse Trump of obstruction of justice, abuse of emergency powers, violations of the First Amendment, misuse of federal funds, and constitutional overreach.

What’s different this time is the scale. More than 120 House members and at least seven U.S. senators have now publicly demanded that Trump resign or be removed, with some openly discussing impeachment and others raising the 25th Amendment as a last-ditch option. Floor speeches, press conferences, and activist campaigns like “Impeach Trump Again” are flooding the media ecosystem, creating a sense of escalating crisis.

Democrats argue Congress has a constitutional duty to act. Republicans dismiss the push as political theater. Trump, meanwhile, is lashing out, calling his critics “deranged” and accusing them of trying to overturn the election.

With impeachment resolutions stacking up and resignation demands spreading, the question is no longer if Trump is under siege—but how far this showdown will go.
