Legend of Lake Gunao

According to the legend where the lake gunao and lake manlalayes had originated and form that long time ago there is no lake to this place and there is a small house stood here which is a couple living here that still had no child ever since and one day they prayed to god to gave them a child luckily the god answered there prayer and gave them a healthy child but there are consequences they are not allowed there child to go outside of there house or set his foot on the ground.As years went by, the couple made true of their promise and the child grew up and become a beautiful young woman.One day, while the couple was not at home,the young suitor of the lovely girl come and he found that the young women had busy sewing some dress. As they were talking the needle where the young women used is accidentally fell to the ground.As she was not allowed to go down, she asked her suitor to pick the needle for her but the suitor refused and she was forced to go down and pick the needle.

All of a sudden,there was thunder and lightning all around.Heavy rain fell and the young suitor become afraid for what is happening and ran far away from the young women house but lately he fell also on the ground.As the heavy rain and thunderstorm stops the couple arrived to the place but they cannot find there house and also there daughter as the couple searching in the area they noticed a great amount of water to the area and also another bodies of water formed at the northern portion and they realized and remembered there promised to god and noticed that this are the consequences for there broken promised as the times goes by these two bodies of water was become lakes which they called lake gunao and manlalayes in the honor two.
