The new $5.2 million firehouse was finished with a ribbon cutting on November 29, 2023. Previously, the department, which formed in the late 1800s, was still using an outdated 1970s station.

CMFD runs 2600 calls per year, according to Cape May magazine.

Next door is the CMFD Fireman's museum, which houses an1928 American LaFrance fire truck.
