Footage released Tuesday by Ukraine shows the creation of anti-tank trenches on the country's border with Russia.

On the same day, Ukraine's military conducted combat drills with US weapons in the eastern region.

The Ukraine army used Javelin anti-tank missiles in the area dominated by separatists.

The military exercises came as security officials said over 100,000 Russian troops were close to Ukraine's border.

Meanwhile, Russian troops held shooting drills near Ukrainian border.

Ukraine accuses Russia of massing tens of thousands of troops near border in preparation for a possible invasion.

Russia denied planning any attacks but accused Ukraine and the US of destabilizing the border region.

Putin demanded for NATO's legal guarantees over NOT TO expand eastward when meeting military officials in Moscow on Tuesday.
