We still live in a world where people are marginalised , discriminated against and subordinated. As we progress towards a better world, what we need is the prevalence of empathy and respect for every creature on this planet.
Here is Mx. Ria’s perspective and story about how their life changed after they broke stereotypes and boundaries of gender and other identities. From accepting themselves as a gender fluid person to coming out in the open their journey has been a roller coaster ride . Through the journey they not only understood themselves but also about their country's beautiful history of acceptance of queer identities , the magic of love and the importance of standing up against injustice.
They share some simple steps about how everyone can be inclusive and be better human beings. Eventually making the world a better place to live in !

Mx. Ria Sharma is a 20 year old youth activist who is on a journey to spread awareness about LGBT+ issues, raise voice against any form of injustice and inspire people to be their true self. They have been sharing their story on media platforms, seminars in educational institutions and at storytelling events. They have produced stories like ‘Splitends’ and ‘Girl with a beard’ which touches topics like gender incongruence and struggles that a gender fluid person has with their body.

Ria is a LGBTQAI+ youth Activist and the co founder of The Jimme Foundation. They have been working towards creating awareness about issues of gender and sexuality at various platforms through workshops , advertisements and short films. They have also been a training speaker for the youth organisation - The Plane Jar for the past 2 years for their C.A.A.S.A programme. Apart from that Ria has also given a Josh talk in hindi which went trending on number 9 some weeks back . Ria was the part of the collaboration between Anekant production and House on moons where they produced their story 'Splitends'. They have acted for the campco chocolate campaign for their advertisements and was also a part of a documentary film - ‘closet’ , screened at the Kashish Film Festival.
