Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott has taken the next step in his recovery from an ankle injury after he was pictured doing work with a football in Kirkby with one of the Reds' coaching staff.

Elliott, who has been missing since the Leeds United game in which he was on the end of an accidental horror tackle from Pascal Struijk, is making good progress and the hope is that he can be back training with his teammates again soon into the new year.

Elliott was shown doing some running drills, juggling with the ball and doing some passing, with the 18-year-old having progressed well since the injury took place, as Matt Addison reports.
