Massive Holding Power. If you're looking to upgrade the clutch on your 2015-2017 Mustang GT and need something that can hold a ton of horsepower yet still remain perfectly streetable , this McLeod RST Twin Disc Clutch may just be the optimal choice. Rated to hold 800 horsepower, the RST is a twin disc design which is the reason behind it being able to hold so much power but without any of the aggressive pedal feel associated with similarly rated single disc clutches. Clutch pedal feel may be slightly firmer than stock and engagement will remain smooth and linear - overall the RST still aptly suited for everyday street driving in addition to heavy track use. Mating to the MT-82 transmission, this clutch kit has a diameter of 11" and accepts a 23-spline input shaft - it is a direct replacement.

Sold as Complete Kit. The clutch discs found in the RST kit are made from a organic material. Included in the kit are of course the two clutch discs, pressure plate, floater plat, adapter ring and pilot tool. It is always a good idea to replace the throwout bearing when doing a clutch job, as it is cheap insurance. This kit can work with the stock flywheel without issue, however it is recommended to match the RST clutch kit with a McLeod stainless steel or aluminum flywheel for maximum performance.

Professional Installation Recommended. Replacing the factory clutch on your 2015-2017 S550 Mustang GT with this RST Twin Disc setup can be accomplished at home, but it is certainly an involved process. Dropping the transmission is a must, and having access to a lift simplifies this matter to no end. With this in mind, it is recommended to have a professional do the install.
