Announcing the publication of a science-based technothriller, Artificial Intelligence – A Martian Odyssey. Genre-wise, it's a blend of Blade Runner, The Martian, Ex Machina, The Expanse, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. https://www.amazon.com/Artificial-Int...
It's an action-packed hard sci-fi that blends real science & engineering with speculative philosophy, synthetic consciousness, character-driven drama, and a cinematic structure that explores what happens when AGI/ASI-level humanoids begin reshaping life and asking hard questions.
There are 24 chapters in the book followed by 14 scientific and informative appendices. This odyssey culminates in the final chapters with “Attention Is All You Need”, "Do You Like Cheeseburgers?", "Robo Sapiens" and "Superintelligence" :)

At its core, this odyssey a journey through the blurred lines of identity, consciousness, and agency, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mars. It explores several philosophical and existential/ethical questions through its narrative, some answered, others left for the reader to wrestle with. A few glimpses:
When does AI become superintelligence? When it surpasses human intellect, or when it begins to question its own existence?
What governs the evolution of life when intelligence is no longer exclusively human?
Who (or what) gets to govern hybrid lifeforms—us, them, or something entirely new?
If AI isn’t just a tool but a force with its own agenda, what does that mean for us?
When AI surpasses us, what will the terms of our survival be?
Can an android feel an "urge"? And what would that even mean?
If the line between human and machine (robots, and synthetic life) vanishes… does it even matter which side you’re on?
If humans have souls and machines have code… what do you call a hacked soul?
It's built around real/plausible tech, AGI/ASI humanoids, DNA-language models, future Martian ISRU systems, orbital hijackings, and a colony of thousands on Mars running off a 5MW RTG plant. I even play with a “Generative DNA GPT” idea that tunnels across Darwinian evolution, blending SynBio with DNA LLM in a way I think might hit close to home for scientists and engineers who are closely following exponential advancements in next gen AI and ultra scale large language models.
