What I Learned from Posting a YouTube Short Every Day for a Year

Описание к видео What I Learned from Posting a YouTube Short Every Day for a Year

Last year I committed to posting a YouTube Short every day for the full year. The reason was simple: I wanted to get better at making videos, and the best way I could see doing that was to adopt a daily practice of making videos. Posting those videos each day as YouTube Shorts was a way to hold myself accountable to put in the practice, day in and day out.

Also, it’s probably important to explain the kind of Shorts I set out to make. They were a combination of capturing slice of life sequences and documenting my creative practice. Primarily they were daily entries meant to be stitched together into a weekly vlog. My hope was that people would watch them and enjoy them, but that was never the main aim. So what I learned from the experience wasn’t about what types of Shorts perform well or not. It was about what worked for me in making them.
