Most Martial Arts Instructors Fake It Till They Make It

Описание к видео Most Martial Arts Instructors Fake It Till They Make It

You have probably heard the term “fake it till you make it.” This is considered a positive thing to do to establish yourself in a career that you want so that you will be considered for jobs, and given respect and a chance to prove yourself, and gain valuable experience. This attitude encourages people to get through doors and pass gatekeepers into a career that they want to pursue. This can be a good thing if while you fake it you are gaining knowledge, learning lessons, and gaining skills while you experience trials and errors.
This same concept is something that most martial arts instructors also do, they fake it till they make it.
YouTube is full of martial arts instructors and YouTube celebrities that faked it till they made it. Making it for them means keeping a large amount of subscribers to their channel, and followers on social media platforms. They make a lot of money on AdSense revenue and product placement. They exude importance and relevance on their videos as if they are the “go to guy” and total expert on something. Many of these YouTube martial artists really are not that good at martial arts or actual fight knowledge, but appear to know it by the confident way they speak, or the edgy/humorous nature they display. Now there is nothing wrong with confidence, being edgy or humorous, but if you are being arrogant and also ignorant of certain things by only promoting popular and “accepted” opinions and circle jerking with other YouTube celebrities then you are not honorable.
Anyone can make a YouTube video pretending to be a master and talk “super serious” and “super confident” as if you KNOW…you KNOW… this is this way and what happens. A total fake could do this by copying other videos and claiming to be a master.
