About this video: On June 20, 2025, I got footage of two MBTA commuter trains passing through the railroad crossings at Forge Road and Richmond Road in Assonet, MA. In preparation for the expansion of the commuter rail operation to this area (which opened in March 2025 with the South Coast Rail project), new railroad crossing signals were installed at all crossings along this section of track. While in the area, I wanted to get some footage of the unique setup at this intersection of a main road and a one way street, which included a gate with delayed lowering on the one way street side and various new “no left turn” signs that I haven’t seen in many other places.
