TEARS is a song for all of us - to remember it's okay to cry, and that it's okay to feel. Those tears don't make you weak. It just means you can feel. And to feel is to exist in this world. We can embrace the sunshine and the rain - it's all part of our story. Let those tears flow.

About the song TEARS
TEARS is a song that NASHDADDY wrote late one night in the late summer of 2023. After lying awake in bed, emotional and crying, there was this struggle between feeling like he must be strong as a man and a father, and the need to let his emotions flow that have been held back in many ways since childhood. Raised in a home that was riddled with chaos, abuse, drugs, and alcohol, it would often lead to an emotional outpour that would many times be brushed aside by his father, and told to stop crying and act like a man.
This song is a cry for help and a song of hope and empowerment for those men (and truly, everyone) who struggles to show emotion or often bottles it up inside, leaving us feeling mentally, emotionally, and physically ill. Having struggled with PTSD, anxiety, depression, suicide, and addiction, NASHDADDY puts his heart and soul into the lyrics of this song, reminding the listener that it’s okay to cry and okay to feel, that those tears don’t make you weak.
It also serves as words of empowerment and ownership over his tears and a message to his sons. In a world with the term toxic masculinity quietly killing men all around the world in fear of showing their feelings, TEARS is a bold call to action for anyone who hears it, and a reminder that we are all human, we all cry, we all feel, and we all hurt at times.
