Mayrhofen 2024 - Hintertux, Larmstange 2 to Tuxer Fernerhaus

Route taken Blue 9, Red 11a, Red 3.
Coming back up on the Larmstange 1 chair initially we saw a ski route that seemed to be quite well used, so had hoped to take that, however checking the signs as we moved from the 1dt chair to the 2nd we saw it was closed (officially). Disappointing as a lot of people were using it and looked a really nice run. Looks like it was Ski Route 13a, leading onto 13.
Anyway, carrying on up the Larmstange 2 chair we had hoped to take the Black 11b, however that was marked as closed as well so went for the Blue 9. This is quite a long flat track at the start until it opens out beside the Olperer 1 T-bar. At this point (1:35) you can see more evidence of the snow farming operations going on to prepare for the summer ski season.
The Blue 9 heads further right at 2:25 but we continue down on the Red 11a. More signs of the snow farming operation going on down here where it flattens out at about 3:00 and round about here we join Red 3. Quite a long flattish section this but really nice skiing. As other runs join from the right we head across so we can follow the Red 3 down to the Tuxer Fernerhaus. Nice gentle gradient here, ideal for long fast turns, which gradually gets steeper, and really wide allowing for different route options. As we come into site of the restaurant at 5:45 there's a bit more of a challenge with it being steeper and with a few bumps.
