As the name says, Camping Alpenblick has an Alpine view with the mountains of the Bernese Oberland to the south and no matter how you park your van you are going to see them. Two hundred metres from the campsite is Lake Thun which offers wonderful, panoramic walks, particularly when one walks around the northern shore. A bus stop right outside the campsite can take you into Thun or Interlaken - alternatively you could walk although the walk to Thun will take around three to four hours. Other hiking possibilities can be found via well marked trails in the hills above the lake. From Interlaken one can travel via train or bus to the Bernese Oberland. An unforgetable experience is at the Schilthorn where one can travel up to 2,970 metres to see Piz Gloria which was made famous by being the location of Blofeld's hide out in the film On Her Majesties Secret Service.

The campsite has a bistro which is also popular with locals. On site facilities include very clean shower block, part of which can be seen in the film. There are coin operated washing machines as well as indoor and outdoor sinks - the outdoor sinks are turned off in the winter. There is also a chemical waste dump and grey water dump as well as fresh water. Fast wifi is available throughout the campsite at a charge.

The campsite is owner operated with the owners living almost on site. English spoken by everyone.
