How To Change Facebook Marketplace Location

In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you where to go on both the mobile and desktop website of Facebook, in order to change the marketplace location settings.

First, we’ll look at the mobile version. Open the Facebook app, and if you have the new link to the marketplace at the bottom, tap that. If not, hit the 3-line menu button on the lower right, and then select Marketplace here.

Now at the top under categories, select the current location and coverage area.

In here you can then enter the city, zip code, or neighborhood of the area that you’d like to search in. At the bottom, slide the radius bar of the coverage area you’d like to search in.

When you’re finished, tap Apply, and your search results will update to your choices.

On the desktop website, head to Facebook.com, and on the home screen click the marketplace tab at the top.

In here, again find the location and coverage area selection at the top of the listings on the right and select it.

Now in the pop-up window, you can then change the location to where you’d like to search, and then in the radius drop-down menu, choose the coverage area. When you’re done hit Apply.

And that’s how you change your Facebook Marketplace location settings in the mobile app and on the desktop website.
