The Australian’s National Editor Dennis Shanahan says Australia’s $1 billion defence deal with Germany is good as it means it’s we’re “enhancing our security arrangement” with the country.

“We’re actually producing these, the vehicles which will be sent to Germany, they’re being produced in Queensland,” Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Amanda Stoker.

“We’re actually making them, creating jobs in Australia and at the same time strengthening our relationship with a key NATO member.”
