How To Plan your Own Epic Cross-Country Bike Tour

We’ve recently posted the final video of our series Roland & Julianna Discover America. But in case you’ve been left with some questions, we’ve posted this video to help you plan your very own adventure. Because in the end, we hope that these videos do more than entertain, but help you make the move to do your own bike tour.

We cover things like how to pick the right trail system for you, how to time your trip, and what resources to use as you’re doing your planning. And potential pitfalls to watch for as you go.

Next week, we’ll post our own route in some detail, and we’ll share the route we put together in Komoot, in case you would like to follow our route in part or in whole. It’s a great route, with lots of rail trails and off-road routes, as well as some excellent quiet and ideal road sections.
