Alaskan Steelhead Adventure | Homegrown Experience 2023

The Homegrown Experience crew is in southeast Alaska chasing the remarkable Steelhead trout.

Steelhead are native to cold-water tributaries of the Pacific basin in both North America and northeast Asia. Like other sea-run (anadromous) trout and salmon, steelhead spawn in freshwater and smolts migrate to the ocean to forage for several years before returning to their natal streams to spawn.

While in Alaska, HGE explored the beautiful Alaskan mountain scapes, experienced wildlife, and brought the coveted steelhead trout to net. It was the fly fishing experience of a lifetime!
