The Ultimate Miron UV Glass Jar Storage Test - Compared to other glass, including 100% opaque!

Описание к видео The Ultimate Miron UV Glass Jar Storage Test - Compared to other glass, including 100% opaque!

Miron ultraviolet glass is known to drastically extend the shelf life of products. But just how well does it actually work? Is storing light-sensitive products in a dark place with no sunlight just as preservative? Or is the unique light-filtering glass better than no light at all? Our 7 month test answers that question which many have wondered about. We put together this ultimate test to see how UV glass fares compared to clear, amber, and even 100% opaque (powder coated) glass jars.

Test conditions:
12/12/21 - Four cherry tomatoes were chosen from the same store-bought package. Four were chosen of same size and appearance and washed. Clear, amber, powder coated, and UV glass jar were washed, treated with 70% isopropyl alcohol and allowed to air dry.

The clear and amber jars were fitted with cosmetic lids with no liners. To most closely match the UV glass jar, the opaque jar was fitted with an F217 foam-lined lid. The UV glass jar used was the 240ml child-resistant low profile jar with a violet PHAN inlay.

The four jars were placed side by side in a room with a south facing window that gets good indirect sunlight during the day.

For photography, we opened the jars briefly without touching the tomato or the insides of the jars or lids. We considered the test concluded in July, and pulled the tomatoes out for videography.

Please note that we are a retailer of UV glass products, not scientists. Care was taken to make the test as valid in a practical real-world scenario as possible.

How it works:
The unique formula for UV glass is designed to extend the shelf life of natural and organic products like dried herbs, beans, coffee, tea, and spices. (They are not suitable for short-term perishables.) The glass appears black, but is actually a deep violet color. It blocks harmful light within the visible spectrum, allowing in visible violet, UVA, and InfraRed wavelengths, which are those that are beneficial to life. Preservation length is up to four times longer than plastic, plain glass, and aluminum storage containers.

Where to get it:
Sold by various retailers including Artanis Home (we also customize!). Special orders are available for any UV glass bottles or jars outside of our curated selection. See our collection at https://artanishome.com/collections/m...
