Phosphating is an effective way to curb rust formation, it is an electro chemical process in which the reaction starts when the metal metallic surfaces dipped inside, or when it comes in contact with the acidic phosphating solution. During this reaction metallic phosphate layer is formed on the, on the surface, which is to be coated. Generally these layers are either iron, manganese or zinc phosphate.
