Thanks for visiting - This is a photowalk I took at Bowling Ball Beach in July. I've been coming to this part of California and this beach for over 25 years now. I have also started to use some old film cameras again which I bought years ago and have been in storage. This time I used the Canon EOS 1V. This was Canon's top of the line film camera and really their last truly professional film camera they made. It is very much like shooting modern DSLR, but with film. All my current Canon accessories work with this model as well. Finding that and other film cameras has brought me back to the film world where I began with photography. I've recently also purchased a Leica M6 (but more on that in the future.)

I did not come to the beach this time when the conditions were perfect. I love sunrise here. Also the when the tide is around 1 foot, the "bowling balls" (granite rocks) are about half covered. The tide was way to low for that this time.

I find photo walks and short challenges like this to be my personal best practice at seeing beauty everywhere and creating photographs. Practice and sharing is what this channel is about. I love taking photo-walks. I love trying to make great (or at least good) photos anywhere and anytime from just normal life. I'm not successful each time, but I try and I'll share.
