“This will be our reply to violence; to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.”

Leonard Bernstein

"Until Morning Come" by Andrew Boss was written for and premiered by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Wind Symphony under Alex Kaminsky for their "Our Reply" concert, an event that commemorated the victims whose lives were lost in the tragic shooting in February 2018.

This work is dedicated to the lives lost and serves as a vessel of hope to the MSD community, as well as those who have lost their loved ones from a firearm-related incident.

This performance is given by the Wilmington Symphonic Winds for the NCMEA concert in Nov.2019, Dominic Talanca conducting.

This video includes excerpts from Maya Angelou's poem "On the Pulse of Morning." The author of this video claims "fair use" of this poem.
