Ashley Curran recently received her PhD in Immunology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is now a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Medical University of Vienna. Her doctoral research focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of citrullination-directed autoimmunity in rheumatoid arthritis, with a particular focus on the role of MHC class II antigen processing and presentation in the loss of CD4+ T cell tolerance.
