During the summer of 2016, G4S employees, through Habitat for Humanity, volunteered to build a home for the Lovett family in West Palm Beach, FL. Terrence and Gail Lovett, the proud parents of three children, moved into the house in August with the house being dedicated on August 4.

2016 marked the third home that G4S had sponsored while the company has been involved with Habitat for Humanity since 2011. 18 G4S employees volunteered, totaling 210 hours on site.

“It was a long wait, but it was worth it,” Gail Lovett said.

“It’s something we started over 20 something years ago,” said Terrence Lovett. “We got a little side-tracked, didn’t complete it. But we’re here now, we got it done this time. We want to be able to have something to pass on to our children.”

The first G4S sponsored home came in 2013, helping the Mateo family in Jupiter, FL. Maria Mateo, a cook at a local country club, moved in with her daughter. G4S sponsored a second home in Jupiter in 2015. 60 G4S employees spent four days building the home for the Manzano-Matey family. Edward Manzano and his wife Miladys Matey, along with their four children, moved into the home in July.

Along with sponsored home’s, G4S also participates in Women’s Build. Beginning in 2015, G4S has volunteered to build or raise money for three consecutive years, with the build day for 2017 set for April 26.
