Building the Paddock - Mecalac 12MXT

In this video we are building a paddock, and to do this i use our Mecalac 12MXT,

It's basically a big part of the pasture that is not grass or soil. This is to keep the horses dry and the pasture can be used all year round.

In this video you can really see the "loader mode" in the mecalac. It really acts like a normal loader, and is perfect for this kind of job!

I start by removing all the good topsoil, put it in a separate pile to be used on the lawn later.
Next, I remove the next layer of fill until I have a good layer of sand or other good material to build on.

Then comes the fabric, the white cloth. This is used to separate the gravel from the material under, and also makes a great reinforcement, which allows us a little bit of a thinner layer of gravel. The gravel used is 0-90mm

I finish off with a top layer 0/18 mm gravel that's spread all over the surface.
