NAB Lahore recovers Rs547bn in six months
NAB recovers over Rs456bn during 2nd quarter of 2025

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has released its performance report for the first half of 2025. From January to June, NAB recovered Rs547.31 billion in total. Notably, Rs456 billion was recovered in the month of April alone, making it the most successful month of the period.

According to the report, NAB handed over movable and immovable properties worth Rs532 billion to federal and provincial ministries, departments, and financial institutions. This recovery is part of NAB’s ongoing efforts to return stolen public assets to the state. The bureau also aims to deter financial crimes through such actions.


In fraud-related cases, NAB helped return funds to 12,611 victims. Many of these victims were investors in various housing societies in Lahore. Billions of rupees were returned to them, offering much-needed relief. NAB’s efforts continue to focus on sectors where public trust has been damaged.

Additionally, NAB Sukkur recovered land worth Rs25 billion belonging to the National Highway. It also reclaimed 127 kanals of land from the Sindh education and health departments. These actions are part of broader efforts to recover public property and hold corrupt officials accountable across provinces.

Chairman NAB, Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed, affirmed that NAB will continue its work without discrimination. He emphasized that protecting citizens’ rights is a top priority. NAB will take every necessary step to ensure justice and transparency in governance.
