These damn swivel seats... Has anyone ordered one that actually fit?

We modified the swivel seat holes so that they would line up. Lucilky, we had a plasma cutter to do this.

Once you unscrew that seat, you can see that the base kind of settles/shifts, like it is held inline, together when all the screws are in, and lacks resistance when they are out. That maybe why it was so hard to line these guys up.

If you aren't prepared to deal with the holes possibly being off by millimeters and figuring out a way to get it to fit, at least you know where NOT to buy a seat base from.

I think it entirely has to do with the base of the seat, without the screws when it looses it's structure. Unless there is a base out there with slightly bigger holes, to allow for the millimeters of movement from removing the screws....

I know it is a super common problem across a lot of brands. After researching, we kind of were under the assumption that you should be prepared to make some adjustments to the base, be diligent with communication and sending products back and forth, until they fit.

All past small headaches aside, it is the best seat in the house and gives us separate chillin spaces in the van.
