Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi who is eyeing the governor’s seat, is accusing Meru Governor Peter Munya of misuse of county funds and wastage. Kiraitu says Munya’s track record of poor development has made the county to be ranked poorly in terms of development in the four years that Munya has been governor.

Kiraitu says this poor ranking is a reality despite Meru being the 3rd in the country in terms of funds received.
