Description: This cello was made by Eric Benning in 1999, just after completing his training with his Great-Uncle, Carl Becker Jr. Beautiful two-piece Bosnian maple which has been in our family for over 3 generations. The top of Italian Spruce is from the 1920’s. This Guadagnini model is an extremely comfortable and petite size. The varnish is a dark, red-brown color over a golden ground inspired by the original Guadagnini cello. This cello has a deep, rich and powerful tone on the bottom strings and a colorful and penetrating, upper register. The cello speaks incredibly easily. Suitable for the finest cellists and those who are aspiring to be.

Back Length: 29 1/4” (74.2 cm.) String Length: 26 3/4” (67.3 cm.) This cello was professionally owned since new by Marta Jasberg of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
