Warriors (Warrior Cats) is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple Clans of feral cats created by Victoria "Vicky" Holmes. The series is primarily set in a fictional forest, and later by a lake, in which fights and disputes over territory often occur between the groups: ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and SkyClan as well as StarClan, the Dark Forest (The Place of No Stars), and BloodClan. Published by HarperCollins and edited by Working Partners (now owned by Coolabi), Warriors is written by authors Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, as well as others, under the collective pseudonym Erin Hunter. Tui T. Sutherland, another writer for the series, also went on to create the Wings of Fire novels and manga. In 2021, an official ROBLOX game by the name of "Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition" (WCUE) was released finally growing the franchise beyond the original books with much success on TikTok. The Warrior Cats fandom is deeply rooted in animation, art, drawings, OCs (original characters), ships (shipping), animation memes, and various Warrior Cats PMVs, AMVs, animatics, and Warrior Cats MAPs (multi-animator projects) among other forms of animated media. Some of its most popular characters include Firestar (Fireheart), Graystripe, Ravenpaw, Sandstorm, Spottedleaf, Cinderpelt, Tallstar, Swiftpaw, Brightheart, Cloudtail, Bluestar, Yellowfang, Snowkit, Mapleshade, Crookedstar, Hawkfrost, Tigerstar (Tigerclaw), Ashfur, Sol, Scourge, Mothwing, Crowfeather, Feathertail, Squirrelflight (Squirrelstar), Leafpool, Bramblestar (Brambleclaw), Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, Dovewing, Ivypool, Lionblaze, Rootspring, Shadowsight, Bristlefrost, Nightheart, Sunbeam, Frostpaw, and Alderheart. And for more than 20 years, its fame (and respective infamy) has brought fans and countless readers alike together from across the world.
