Exploring ApeSoft’s apps has helped me see much more clearly how different apps, particularly new ones can shape the music that I make. The exploration of what each app can do, its strengths and weaknesses all contribute to the creative process - never more apparent, for me, than here. It’s experimentation at its most enjoyable...with the seemingly endless control of every parameter via LFO at its core. Pushing the boundaries of my musical vision.
I’m using the 3 matrices as 3 separate canvases, with 2 being mixed using a randomised LFO on the volume - almost creating a generative kind of feel, with little intervention needed from me.
Lots still to learn with Ape’s STRIA and SPARKLE and loving the sound of Electric Vintage - my go to e piano now?
Gestrument still the best way to play the piano on the iPad....
Keeping the IAA love alive with DM2 drums...
Still playing with the wonderful auGEN X for out of this world sounds...
Playbeat and Aparillo becoming staples...
Routed through AUM this time for extra FX and the wonderful free oscilloscope that comes with Ape Matrix.
