So, here are the opposite signs and house axis:
Aries/1st FIRE, MARS vs. Libra/7th AIR, VENUS - BOTH MACULINE and CARDINAL

Taurus/2nd EARTH, VENUS vs. Scorpio/8th WATER, PLUTO and MARS –BOTH FEMININE and FIXED

So if you want to see in your natal chart, which opposite sign or house affects you more than others or maybe you are heavy in one and lacking in another there are a couple of things you could look for;

Check your Sun sign as the sun as the outward expression of our life path, soul purpose and creativity in the world so we are going to need to see where its opposite sign and polarity axis is.

The most obvious expression of these polarities will be your Ascendant – Descendant sign and anything that goes on in your 1st- 7th house. Sometimes, most of the time your houses will be occupied by 2 signs, for example you have an Aquarius rising, so your descendant will be in Leo, that’s very obvious expression and the need to find that balance there. But also maybe you have a Mercury and Moon in the 1st house in Pisces because let’s say your first house is occupied by both Aquarius and Pisces….so the expression of that Moon and Mercury will need to meet its polarity in Virgo which would partially occupy the 7th house…I hope that makes sense.

Then, another important thing to check is your North Node and South Node because just as important as the Sun and the Ascendant, the South Node is our karma from a past life that we are constantly living in the earlier parts of our current life that’s comfortable but not necessarily conducive to our growth. The North Node is where we are stepping out of our comfort zone to evolve and grow. They will always in opposite signs and houses in your chart, so check that.

Last thing you want to check is if you have a couple of planets in one house or sign, like 3 or more, then you want to check the polarity point and opposite sign of that. Either you have some opposition aspects to other planets already and you are working on that balance and wholeness, or you are not aware of it because there are no aspects of opposition and your energy is too heavy in one zone of expression and life area. For example, if you have Jupiter, Venus and Mars in Cancer in the 8th house and NO planets in the 2nd house or in Capricorn…then that can tip you off balance, so you will need to consciously cultivate more of that missing energy. But if you also let’s say, have Neptune and Saturn in Capricorn in the 2nd house then vala! You have something to work with and you are likely to be very aware of the need to find this balance.
