The Ferrite Rod (Amidon) is a Type 61 material 0.5"D x 7.5"L. It's wound w/ Litz Wire 180/46-44 Special Blend (Inductance ~220 uH) from: https://www.mikeselectronicparts.com/...

The Variable Capacitor is also from Mike's Electronic Parts at: https://www.mikeselectronicparts.com/...
The two sections are tied together to get ~15 to 532pF.

The LC Circuit easily covers the (BC) AM Band.

I used a 100k potentiometer in lieu of a 10k and a 2N5457 JFET in my design w/ good results.

The one-sided PCB is 5cm x 7cm.
