Xeriscape Garden Tour with Drought Tolerant Plants by Mikl Brawner of Harlequin's Gardens

Описание к видео Xeriscape Garden Tour with Drought Tolerant Plants by Mikl Brawner of Harlequin's Gardens

Xeriscape garden tour with many drought tolerant plants by Mikl Brawner at Harlequin's Gardens and Sustainable Nursery in Boulder, Colorado. This late June garden tour gives many gardening and landscaping ideas for beautiful, resilient, drought resistant plants that have been grown organically and tested in Colorado. The garden is watered very rarely and has never received pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.

In this Xeric garden tour we see many native shrubs, berry bushes, xeric ground cover, roses, trees, ornamental grasses, cacti, herbs, pollinator plants, perennials, medicinal plants, edible plants, flowering plants and succulents. Harlequin's Gardens is continually testing plants to see if they are well-adapted to their difficult dry and windy North Boulder location. Because they have been under water restrictions since 1985, the plants they sell are very drought tolerant and it will succeed in your xeriscapes.

Harlequin’s Gardens is a small family business owned by Mikl Brawner and Eve Reshetnik Brawner that specializes in Colorado-adapted plants: hardy own-root roses, xeriscape plants, natives, perennials, shrubs, herbs, rock garden plants, fruit and trees. We have been testing these plants since 1985 at our exposed and dry North Boulder location and we welcome you to come out to visit our demonstration gardens. They operate our nursery organically, so once the plants arrive, they are neither sprayed with toxic pesticides nor fertilized with chemical fertilizers. This is possible by choosing well-adapted plants and by keeping their vitality strong with proper management. We offer completely organic vegetable starts and many organic herbs. We are also very resource-conscious, relying largely on solar energy, intermediate technology, using recycled materials, shopping locally, and believing that small and personal is beautiful.
