Vujicic was born in 1982 in Melbourne, Australia, and was told at a young age that he would never be able to do many things that most people take for granted, such as swimming, playing sports, or even writing. However, he refused to let his disability define him, and instead focused on what he could do. He began speaking in front of small groups at the age of 17 and later started his own non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs, which aims to inspire and encourage people with physical disabilities.
