Rick's CDC Damsel Fly Nymph

In today’s video, Rick (The FlyFish Fanatic)™ will be tying a staple of the stillwaters around the world, The Damsel Fly Nymph. In this pattern, we use two main materials, both because of how easily they move, and absolute must with these small insects. The tail is made from marabou and the body is made up of CDC, both flow very well, and the CDC traps air in its fibers and gives this pattern a sheen. Fish this pattern just sub surface on a type 1 sink tip of even a full floating line. Slow but steady pulls to imitate how the natural nymph moves.

Materials:
Hook-Hends BL700 size 10-14
Thread- Semperfli Nanosilk 12/0 Olive Green
Eyes- Mono eyes in Black or green
Tail- Hends Marabou in Olive green
Body- Olive green CDC
Rib, Small silver wire
