Biden Backs Philippines on Eve of China Foreign Minister Visit | Vantage with Palki Sharma

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in Washington. He's set to meet US President Joe Biden tomorrow.

But on the eve of Wang Yi's visit, Biden issued a strong warning to China.

He said America's commitment to defend the Philippines was "Ironclad". Biden said Washington would defend Manila against Beijing's aggression.

It sets the stage for an awkward meeting, even as the US & China try and arrange for a meeting between Joe Biden & Xi Jinping.
