Hey guys, It has been 11 days since I purchased OnePlus 6 from PopUp event here in Kolkata. After using for 11 days, what are the advantages and disadvantages I have experienced let me share with you.
Pros:-
1. Large 19:9 Amoled 6 inches Display, vibrant and accurate colour exposure.
2 This is the only phone as my knowledge goes comes with a dedicated alert slider key which will allow you, without waking, put your device in three different modes like ring, vibrate and silent.
3. Its fast UI i.e oxygen OS, is snappy and fast smooth all over the UI and also on the apps.
4. Camera is good, Low light performance is far better than that of Samsung S9+
5. Price is really great because at this price you are getting a flagship device and that too is also the fastest phone in the world right now.
6. You do get a HEADPHONE JACK. And BLUETOOTH 5.0 AptX enabled is great with wireless earphones so long range and clarity is beautiful.
7. Fastest face unlocking in 0.4 second. It’s practically instant, and easily one of the fastest facial recognition features on any Android smartphone.
8. Touch response is amazing, crazy smooth. And with SD845 and Oxygen OS has faster transitions just make your experience "SPEED YOU NEED".
9. Fastest charging than all other phones, Dash charging is really fast, personally i feel all other phones are slower charging after using OnePlus 6.
10. On my experience what i felt after trying all other phones, the only phone that is bang for your buck (9/10 Value for money)
Cons:-
1. No external SD card support, It could have been there but they have skipped it. On the other hand, personally i feel 64GB is good for normal casual user. You can go for 128GB model if you are more of a heavy user. More than that isn't really a requirement for a phone, If you do you should go for tablets or laptops.
2. Wireless charging (not exactly a con but all other flagships have it) the truth behind wireless charging is, Wireless charging is really not that fast rather slow, and those wireless pads are pretty much costly and you must have all other devices with wireless charging enabled. You won't really miss that thing.
3. Apps are not yet well modified for these awesome 19:9 displays. Lots of apps needs to be updated. It will take some time.
4. It is Glass and no matter how hard a glass becomes, at a point it will crack because of drops and slips, accidental of course unless you are a YOUTUBER.
5. Fast charging almost takes around 40 minutes from 30%. Problem is that it only fast charges from its specific DASH CHARGER AND specific DASH Type-C cable. Other chargers won't work and is really slow.
6. Case provided is not that great but works, you will have to buy a new good case for it's protection.
7. Dual Camera is there, Bokeh mode/Portrait Mode is there, But no wide angle lens or telephoto lens. The second camera is just for depth effect and low light mode.
8. Very poor LED flash.
Finally, the result from taking all the pros and cons alongside I, personally feel if you really want the speed, the fast performance, better overall camera, faster charging, on time and regular OTA updates, good looking phone at half or much lesser price that won't make a huge dent on your wallet then YOU SHOULD GET YOURSELF A ONEPLUS 6. (If you have recently bought a Oneplus 5T then upgrading would be good but not that great).
