For years, employees have lived in silent burnout — constant messages, weekend work, late-night calls, and “urgent” deadlines that never end.
Now, Kerala is taking a bold step.
A Right to Disconnect Bill — giving private corporate employees the legal right to say NO to after-hours work calls, emails, and messages.
No punishment. No subtle bias. Just your peace of mind protected by law.
But here’s the big question —
Will this law actually work? Or will it just stay on paper like many others?
If enforced properly, it could change how India views corporate work-life balance.
If not, companies might simply shift operations outside Kerala or tweak policies to bypass it.
Either way, this bill has started a much-needed conversation —
Shouldn’t every Indian employee have the right to disconnect?
What do you think —
Is this a step towards freedom or just another headline?
