Day trip to Garni temple and Geghard monastery from Yerevan | Armenia Travel 🇦🇲 | Winter | January

Discover the beautiful pagan Garni temple and landscapes with us plus more. When we were in Yerevan in January during winter, we went on a day trip to see Garni temple and Geghard monastery. Both are less than an hour away by car. Along the way our driver stopped at the Charents' Arch for the wonderful views to Mount Ararat and the surrounding areas. Garni temple is located in a stunning cliff surrounded by mountains and is the only Greco-Roman structure in Armenia. Geghard monastery was spectacular as the rooms were carved into the stone/cliff with amazing detailed carvings on many of the walls inside.
