We start our day at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois! We didn’t know what we would do once we got to this area, but we did know that when you’re in Springfield, there are plenty of honest Abe things to see and do!
 
Next up, we make our way to the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, which is also located in Springfield. Taking a tour through the home is a great way to learn more about the life Lincoln lived, and the best part is, the tour is free! Our last stop of the day is a visit to The Lincoln Tomb, which is the final resting place of Abraham Lincoln, his wife and three of their sons. You'll have to watch to see why we rub Abraham's nose on the statue in front of the memorial!
 
The following day, we continue our Abraham Lincoln fun and meet up with viewers, Brian, Betsy and their grandson, Charlie, for some fun at Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site, which is located in Petersburg, Illinois! After seeing the exhibit hall, we tour to the village area where we get to see the different home sites and learn more about what life was like when Abe lived there. On our way home, we make a quick stop in Auburn, Illinois to take a ride on the 1.4 mile stretch of the restored Route 66 brick road, then finish our day with dinner at Route 66 Motorheads Bar and Grill!
