We've got to talk about TikTok. If you were living under a rock, there's a new fangled app that every kid is using these days called TikTok. The app is super addicting, and a massive time sink once it really gets its hooks into you. The app has been so successful that other social media companies as well have been developing their own short form video delivery services. I think these videos represent a huge threat to the future of photography. The content is, at base, so engaging that it is almost hard to go back to a work of merely viewing photographs for entertainment. How TikTok is destroying photography has to do with the super engaging nature of this content. Film photographers, and digital photographers will need to adapt to these new forms of media sharing if they want to continue to reach people with their work.
