Peaceful Protest over Drinking Water Shortage at Lakipora

A peaceful protest was held at Lakipora against the severe drinking water shortage being faced by the local residents. The demonstration witnessed the participation of BJP State Vice President (OBC Morcha) Shabir Zargar and BJYM District President & Convenor Good Governance, Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal.
While speaking to the media, both the leaders expressed serious concern over the prolonged water crisis in the area. They stated that despite repeated complaints, the local representatives have failed to address the basic needs of the people who elected them. The leaders alleged that nothing concrete has been done on the ground to resolve the drinking water problem.
Shabir Zargar and Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal appealed to all the public representatives, including the DDC Member MP,and MLA, of the constituency, to immediately intervene in the matter. They urged them to take swift and effective steps to ensure a permanent solution to the drinking water shortage and provide relief to the suffering residents at the earliest.
